The 5 steps to mortgage happiness
Step 1: Apply
Whether you’re searching for a new mortgage, or refinancing, transferring, or renewing your current mortgage, your first step along the path is to apply. To make it easy, I offer my clients three options.
- Online – Most of my clients choose to apply online. Simply fill out the linked form as well as you can. And if you don’t know an answer, just skip it and send what you can. Then, I’ll get a hold of you to help fill out the rest.
- By phone – Call 250-423-9851 to book your phone application. This usually takes 10-30 minutes as I walk you through the questions and take down your information. Once we’re done, you can fax or email me your credit consent.
- In-person – If you prefer in-person, call me (250-423-9851) to make an appointment. We’ll book a 30-minute meeting to make sure we have all your information and your credit consent.
Step 2: Pre-qualification
Once your application has gone through, I’ll call you to confirm your pre-qualification. Then, we’ll define your needs to help me find you the right mortgage. Then, you’re free to start moving forward.

Step 3: Submission
With a better understanding of your mortgage needs, I’ll start searching for a mortgage solution that best fits your lifestyle, while you take your next steps. That will include securing the right lender, product and interest rates for you.
Step 4: Conditional approval
When I’ve found the solution that I think works for you, I’ll finalize a custom approval and send it to you for confirmation. Once you’re happy, all you have to do is sign.
Step 5: Conditions complete
Congratulations, your mortgage is officially finished. Now, it’s time to meet with your lawyer or title company so you can register your new mortgage to your home’s title.
